Bryant Bank Marks $600,000 in Gifts to UAH Nursing and Donates $25,000 to UAH Athletics

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Bryant Bank recently sent its sixth installment of $100,000 to The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s (UAH) College of Nursing. In total, this $3 million-dollar donation will fund scholarships for the Early Promotion into UAH Nursing Program (EPNP). The EPNP scholarship is open to high-achieving incoming freshman students declaring nursing as their major.

The EPNP scholarship provides students an opportunity to have enriched freshman and sophomore years and equips students for admittance into upper division coursework. Bryant Bank’s commitment spans 30 years and covers the cost of tuition and fees for eligible students.

“The Bryant Bank EPNP Scholarship allows nursing students to make their goals and dreams a reality. These students are our future nurse leaders who will make a profound impact on the future of nursing,” said Dr. Marsha Howell Adams, Dean of UAH College of Nursing.

Bryant Bank also made a $25,000 donation to UAH’s athletic department. This gift will go toward creating and maintaining facilities for the athletic department and will contribute to the success of UAH’s athletic department.

“The EPNP program plays an important role in the UAH College of Nursing.   In five years, 165 students have been admitted to the EPNP program,” said, Ken Watson, Huntsville Market President.  “Having the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to this effort is something we are glad to do.  Intercollegiate sports also provide a quality university experience for both campus life and for our community.  These partnerships are something we are highly proud of and hope that it displays our mission of putting care into action in our Huntsville communities.”
