Bryant Bankers raise over $4,000 for The American Heart Association

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Bryant Bankers from the Tuscaloosa, North River and Northport branches collectively raised over $4,000 for The American Heart Association. The three branches competed against one another to see who could raise the most amount of money. The fundraiser started back in January and concluded on February 13th. The overall goal was set at $1,500. The Bryant Bankers came up with creative ways to raise the money for the cause. Some made candy bags to raise money, while other bankers sang church hymns.

The Bryant Bankers were very excited about the amount of support they received from their customers, families, and friends. “Fundraising for the AHA was fun and rewarding”, said Regina Sharp, branch manager and team leader for the North River team. “Just the mention of our team effort as Bryant Bankers to raise money for this worthy cause opened up an outpouring of support and personal stories. Thanks to the generosity of many customers, friends, family, and committed bank staff this was our most successful year ever in the fight against heart disease.”

In the end, Bryant Bank raised $4,220.33, beating its goal by 181%. All 3 teams showed comradery and teamwork during the challenge, which ultimately resulted in an outstanding result. “Bryant Bank is so Community minded and the American Heart Association is just one of the many organizations that we work with each year,” said Susan Hathorne, Tuscaloosa team leader. “We have always had fun raising money, but this year has been GREAT. Our families, friends and customers have been wonderful to make contributions to the cause. Our team on the first floor really made a fun game out of it, having an RA meeting each Friday morning, the drive-thru with their hearts on the window to bring attention for the drive-thru customers. This has really been FUN and so rewarding.”

In addition to the fundraising challenge, Bryant Bank will be participating in the Tuscaloosa Heart Walk on Saturday, February 16th.
