Bryant Bank is proud to announce two significant promotions in Baldwin County, recognizing two of its most dedicated community bankers and long-tenured leaders on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Matt Fetner has been promoted to Foley City President, and Doug Sizemore has been promoted to Orange Beach City President. Together, these promotions reflect Bryant Bank’s deep commitment to the communities it serves across Baldwin County and the strength of the team that has been built here.

Matt Fetner, Foley City President
Matt Fetner’s connection to South Baldwin runs deep. He joined Bryant Bank in 2005 and in 2006 helped open the Foley office, Bryant Bank’s first in Baldwin County, where he has been rooted ever since. With nearly 27 years in banking, Matt brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having begun his career in Mobile before moving to Birmingham and ultimately planting his professional flag on the Gulf Coast, where he has called home for the past 20 years.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Alabama and is a graduate of both Alabama Banking School and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
What has defined Matt’s career is a commitment to showing up for the people and the community around him. He has been a consistent presence in South Baldwin civic life, serving as President of the Mako Academics, Arts and Athletic Club, past President of the Foley Rotary Club, past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, past Treasurer of the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, and a past Advisory Board member for the Snook Family YMCA. Matt often leads the Bryant Bank Tailgate Team, which hosts community events and activities throughout Baldwin County.
At home, Matt and his wife, Dr. Katie Fetner, are kept busy by their two sons, Sam and Will, and four dogs: Bull, Dash, Hoss, and Sassy.
“Twenty years in, Matt still brings the same energy and genuine care for his customers and colleagues that he did on day one. He has built something special in Foley, and we are proud to recognize that with this promotion,” says Greg Strachan, Baldwin County President.
“I have watched Foley grow and change in so many ways since we opened the doors here in 2006, and it has been one of the great privileges of my career to grow right alongside it. I am grateful for the trust Bryant Bank has placed in me and excited about everything ahead,” says Matt Fetner, Foley City President.

Doug Sizemore, Orange Beach City President
Doug joined Bryant Bank in May 2016 as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking with a mission: open and grow Bryant Bank’s Orange Beach office. What followed was nearly a decade of relationship building, community investment, and quiet leadership that has made the Orange Beach office a cornerstone of Bryant Bank’s Gulf Coast presence. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He is also a graduate of the Alabama Bankers Association’s Bank Executive Leadership Program. In November 2023, he was named a Rising Star in Banking by the Alabama Bankers Association, a recognition that reflects his reputation among peers across the state.
What has set Doug apart throughout his career is his genuine investment in the people around him. He has made mentoring and developing younger bankers a priority, pouring time and energy into their growth in ways that have shaped careers and strengthened the team around him.
That same commitment extends into the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores communities he serves. Doug previously served as Treasurer of The Dolphin Foundation, which supports education and the arts in Gulf Shores City Schools. He is a past Treasurer of the Coastal Alabama Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores. He is also an active member of the Bryant Bank Tailgate Team, which hosts community events and activities throughout Baldwin County.
Outside of work, Doug can often be found on the soccer field, where he coaches the team of his nine-year-old son, Jake.
“Doug has spent nearly a decade proving that Bryant Bank belongs on the Gulf Coast. He has built relationships that go far deeper than banking, and the team he has developed around him reflects his values at every level. This promotion is well deserved,” says Greg Strachan, Baldwin County President.
“None of what we have built here happens without the people around me, my team, my customers, and a community that has welcomed Bryant Bank with open arms. I am honored to step into this role and humbled by the trust that comes with it,” says Doug Sizemore, Orange Beach City President.
Bryant Bank is proud to celebrate both of these well-earned promotions and looks forward to everything this next chapter holds for Matt, Doug, and for Baldwin County.
